Mr. Jay L. Bach accepted the position of Music Director and Conductor of the Southlake Community Band in August of 2018. Prior to his appointment he enjoyed a very successful career in Texas public education with over 30 years of service. His final position was Director of Bands and Fine Arts Department Chair for Carroll ISD, retiring in 2016. He is now a music consultant, conductor, freelance musician and private low brass Instructor in the metroplex.

Mr. Bach has conducted and performed around the world with opportunities at the Sydney Opera House, Royal College of Music, London, International Wind Band Festival in Italy and Carnegie Hall. He has also preformed with the Amersham Brass Band and Heath Band located just outside of London in summer concerts.

Mr. Bach is a member of TMEA, Texas Bandmasters Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Kappa Kappa Psi
